Mass spectrometry service

Introduction

The Mass Spectrometry (MS) service laboratory has several state of the art instruments enabling analysis by Electron Ionisation (EI), Chemical Ionisation (CI), Electrospray (ES), Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation (MALDI) and Liquid Secondary Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (LSIMS). The facility is also able to analyse mixtures by Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS).
